This lodge was constructed using an insulated timber frame, finished externally with natural larch cladding. The client’s brief was for a building that would weather gracefully over time and blend seamlessly into its woodland surroundings, allowing the structure to soften and settle naturally into the landscape.
Traditional flush casement uPVC windows were used to maintain a timeless, understated appearance while providing modern performance and low maintenance.
Inside, the lodge features a fully fitted kitchen complete with integrated appliances, three well‑proportioned bedrooms, and a spacious shower room. Internal rustic panelling and open‑joist ceilings create a warm, cosy atmosphere throughout, enhancing the natural character of the space.
The building is fitted with a full central heating system, powered by an LPG combi boiler for efficient, reliable comfort. Foundations were installed using non‑intrusive screw piles, minimising ground disturbance and environmental impact.
Alternative heating solutions are also available, including air source heat pumps and solar package options.
All lodges and garden rooms are designed and built entirely to the client’s specifications, ensuring a bespoke result that suits both the setting and the way you live.
